Herbert Fletcher Transport is a family owned business that provides temperature-controlled distribution nationwide. We specialise in frozen groupage delivering orders between 1 and 26 pallets.
We rely on repeat business for development and expansion, which is achieved by working your delivery expectations into our load-planning programme.
All customers deliveries are booked in by our traffic planners quoting any purchase order numbers and the number of pallets. Our drivers work off manifest delivery instructions created by the traffic planners and advise the transport managers of any delays keeping the customer informed at all times.We are actively looking for return loads from all areas back to our northern base area to increase vehicle efficiency and reduce the impact that our vehicles have on the environment.
The company has a computerised sales order processing traffic system that controls orders from receipt, to delivery and subsequent invoicing. The system is multi-user and all employees share the same up-to-the-minute information. This has proved to be of great benefit not only to this company but also to our clients, many of whom now rely on the distribution data available to them.
